Run from the cold winds of the fall on EN LA CARRERA.
Be a part of this mission to see the world and enjoy new cultures.
Take the opportunity to play in the sun to Afro-Colombian beats and lounge on white sand beaches giving that summer bathing suit another chance to shine.
"Approach" - Day 1

An early morning departure will have you arrive at CTG airport in the early afternoon just in time to not miss the sunset

After clearing immigration, you are whisked off to your hotel in private transportation
Day 1 - "Enter"

Enter into the bustle of Cartagena going directly to your luxury accommodations within the old city of Cartagena
​

Once comfortable in your room, enjoy the rooftop pool and sundeck with bar service or enjoy the nearby tourist, shopping, and dining destinations.

- Welcome drinks will be on deck as we gather to celebrate all of the group's arrivals
"Energy" - Day 1

Prepare to indulge in local rums and food as we drive around the city to meet locals and enjoy the party scene.

Step out the bus and into a local club to dance the night away
Day 2 - "Explore"

Immerse yourself in “REAL CARTAGENA” as we learn about the local culture, music, food, people, customs and beliefs

​Taste Cartagena as we sample local food and local fruits as well as have a local lunch
​

See the traditional neighborhoods to understand the city from a geographic, cultural, social and economic point of view.
"Acquire" - Day 2

Explore the city on your own – create your own scavenger hunt looking for souvenirs, precious emeralds, Colombian coffee, or a drink
​

After some rest and recuperation from your day, dine with your mission counterparts on local cuisine at a local foodie hot spot
Day 3 - "Experience"

Learn for the direct descendants of our ancestors in Palanque on how the African people that escaped from slavery in the 1600s to create Palanque and how they have preserved African culture including a language (Bantú), traditional music and dances, way of living, customs and spiritual beliefs

Relax in a mud bath at a natural volcano known for its medicinal components that make your skin soft and refreshed
"Relax" - Day 3

Departing by boat cruise, we will visit Colombia's outer islands and one of Colombia's most spectacular beaches – Isla Baru - to enjoy the sun, the pristine waters, the African Colombian music, and the reggae all while you have a Piña Colada or a Margarita among the many other drinks on the menu.
Day 4 - "Complete"

All missions come to an end. Enjoy a late breakfast and rooftop pool swim before your afternoon flight back to the USA.
